Tesla tint for Westmont, Model Y first
Hatch window in one sheet
The rear hatch glass is tall and curved, so the film is heat-formed on a glass board and applied as a single panel. No seam in the camera view and no lifting at the defroster grid.
Model 3, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck
Four more patterns. The S has the longest doors, the X the tallest glass, and the Cybertruck flat panels cut to the trim line. Each is priced by model.
Cameras and sensors untouched
Camera zones are masked and uncovered, and the non-metallic ceramic film leaves the phone key, GPS and cellular signals alone.

Westmont is about 8.2 miles away, roughly 16 to 20 minutes outside rush hour. Hours are Monday through Saturday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday. Set an appointment, then wait at the shop or drop the Model Y and return once the tint is on.
Plenty of Westmont drivers wait inside; there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi and a restroom, and if you want to stretch your legs a mall, coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. We are LGBTQ-friendly and everyone is welcome; it is how the shop runs. Coming from Westmont, take whichever is moving: the shop is right off the 110 and easy from the 405 and the 710.

Is the drive from Westmont worth it to tint a Model Y?
Yes. It is under twenty minutes outside rush hour, and the Model Y's one-piece hatch window and frameless doors are better done by a shop that handles Teslas every day. Owners drive here from over 100 miles for the same work.
Why does a Model Y get so hot inside?
The panoramic roof and the large side and hatch glass let in sun from every direction. The roof is factory-treated; the doors and hatch are not. Ceramic film on those windows rejects infrared heat and brings the cabin temperature down noticeably.
Is the Model Y hatch glass tinted as one piece?
Yes. The hatch window is heat-formed on a glass board so one sheet of film follows the full curve, then applied in a single pass. That avoids a seam across the rear camera view and keeps the defroster lines intact.
How is a Model Y priced compared with a Model 3 or Model X?
The shop quotes each of them separately. The Model Y has a taller hatch than the Model 3 and takes a little longer, and the Model X has far more glass again. Text us with the year and model and a figure comes back.
Will the Model Y cameras or phone key be affected?
No. The camera cluster at the top of the windshield and the fender repeaters are masked and the film stops before them. Ceramic film has no metal, so there is no interference with the phone key, GPS or cellular data.
