The rear window on a Model 3 is one of the hardest pieces of glass to tint well because of its curve. We shrink a single sheet to fit it, so there is no seam. The door glass is frameless and the film is cut to clear the seal when the window drops.
Taller glass on the Y and X, long curved doors on the S, flat panels on the Cybertruck. Each gets its own quote by model.
No metal in the film, so the phone key, the cameras and the cell connection all work as before.

About 9 miles, roughly 18 to 22 minutes outside rush hour. Hours: Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday closed. Reserve a spot, then either drop the Model 3 off or wait at the shop while the tint goes on. Short trip; most Lennox drivers stay.
Plenty of Lennox drivers wait inside; there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi and a restroom, and if you want to stretch your legs a mall, coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. We are LGBTQ-friendly and everyone is welcome; it is how the shop runs. The shop sits right off the 110 freeway, with easy access from the 405 and the 710 as well, so three freeways lead to it from Lennox.

The rear window. It curves in two directions, and a single sheet of film has to be heat-shrunk until it lies flat against every inch of it before it is installed. Get that right and the back glass looks like factory dark glass. Get it wrong and you see fingers and seams.
The exact same work. Every Tesla in this bay gets ceramic film cut on a glass board, a one-piece rear window and camera zones left clear, whether the owner drove nine miles from Lennox or well over a hundred. The difference is you can wait at the shop and take it home that afternoon.
No. Ceramic film is non-metallic and does not block signals, and the camera areas on the glass are kept uncovered. The pillar cameras sit outside the door glass altogether. After the install the car connects, unlocks and drives the way it did before.
Yes. California requires the front door glass to pass 70% of visible light. Ceramic film at that shade looks light but still rejects most of the infrared heat, so the cabin is cooler. The rear doors and rear glass can be as dark as you like.
Most Model 3 jobs are done the same day, and you can drive it home as soon as it is finished. Keep the windows up for a few days afterward while the film cures, and hold off on the rear defroster during that time. We explain the care at pickup.
