The 3 has frameless door glass that drops a hair when the door opens, so the film edge has to be cut to the gasket or it lifts. We cut each piece on a glass board, never on your car, and heat-shape the rear window before it goes on.
The Y shares most of its glass logic with the 3 but carries more rear area; the S has longer, more curved doors. Both get the same ceramic film, shaped to the actual glass rather than a shortened plotter pattern.
Tall doors, a tall windshield and a lot of light. The X is quoted by model because the glass area and the labor are simply larger.
Tesla cameras live on the glass. We mask those zones, leave them clear, and the ceramic film has no metal in it, so nothing interferes with the car.

Book an appointment, then either leave the car with us for the day or wait at the shop while the film goes on. The shop sits near the beach in Carson, and owners drive in from well over 100 miles away, so Del Aire is a short hop.

Yes, and the trip is short. About 8.6 miles, roughly 17 to 21 minutes outside rush hour. What you get for the drive is film hand-cut to the frameless door glass and a rear window shaped with heat, done by a shop that tints Teslas every week.
Because the window drops slightly every time the door opens and seats again when it closes. A film edge cut short shows a line of light; an edge cut long peels. We cut to the gasket on a board so the edge sits where it should and stays there.
We can. Front door glass stays at California 70% VLT, and ceramic film at that shade still blocks a large share of infrared heat. Rear doors and the back glass can go darker. You keep the cooler cabin without a problem at an inspection.
No. The camera zones on the glass are masked and left uncovered, and the ceramic film carries no metal layer, so there is nothing to block a signal. Your phone key, cameras and any other sensors behave exactly as they did before the tint.
Text the year and model, and Nick will quote it by model. Tesla pricing is set at the shop rather than listed here because the glass area differs so much between a 3 and an X. Bring the car in and the number is confirmed before the work starts.
