Cybertruck and Tesla Window Tint for Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach Cybertruck owners bring the truck to Tesla Tint LA by Audio MotorSports, 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson, about 19.3 miles away, for ceramic window tint cut to its big flat panes. No shrinking on the Cybertruck, but the edges are ruler-straight and every cut shows, so the film is templated and board-cut. Every Tesla model is quoted at the shop.

Tesla tint for Huntington Beach drivers

Cybertruck window tint

The glass is flat and large. The film is cut on a board to a template of each pane, then installed as one piece per window, with the straight edges lined up to the frame. Ceramic film keeps the heat down inside a cabin with that much glass.

Model Y and Model 3 tint

The crossover and the sedan get a one-piece rear window, frameless doors cut to the seal, and camera zones left open.

Model S and Model X

Longer and taller glass with more shaping, and a quote by model for each.

Salt air and sun

Near the coast the film takes a beating from UV. Ceramic film does not fade, purple or bubble the way dyed film does, which matters when the truck lives outside.

Audio MotorSports can also wire a dash camera, a GPS tracker, a Compustar remote start or a stereo upgrade into the truck during the same visit.

    Questions

    Huntington Beach questions we hear

Is a Cybertruck easier or harder to tint than a Model Y?

Different. The Model Y needs heat-shrinking on curved glass; the Cybertruck does not, because its glass is flat. But the Cybertruck's panes are huge and the edges are perfectly straight, so a cut that is off by a hair is obvious. It is template work rather than shrink work, and it is quoted by model.

Why would a Huntington Beach owner drive to Carson for Cybertruck tint?

Because the truck is new enough that not many shops have done many of them. We template each pane, cut on a board away from the stainless body, and install in one piece per window. Under an hour each way for film that lines up to the frame is a fair trade.

Does ceramic film on a Cybertruck affect the cameras, the phone key or the signal?

It does not. The film contains no metal, so cellular, Bluetooth and the phone key pass through the glass as before. The camera zones on the windshield are left uncovered, and the side cameras sit outside the tinted glass entirely. Autopilot is unaffected.

How dark can the Cybertruck fronts go in California?

The front doors must pass 70% of visible light, so they stay fairly light. The rear doors and the rear glass can go as dark as you want. Ceramic film at the legal front shade still blocks most of the infrared heat, which is the practical reason to tint.

Will the tint hold up with the truck parked near the beach?

Yes. Ceramic film is stable in UV and does not discolor with sun exposure. Keep the windows up for a few days after the install while it cures, then clean it with an ammonia-free cleaner and a soft cloth. The film protects the interior from fading, too.
