Hermosa Beach to the shop
Count on about 8.1 miles and roughly 16 to 19 minutes outside rush hour. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM; Sunday closed. Book ahead, then either drop the new car off or wait at the shop. Some of our Tesla customers come from San Diego; Hermosa Beach is a short drive down the coast.
You can wait inside with free Wi-Fi, Netflix on the TV, seating, a restroom and a water fountain, or walk to the mall, a movie theater or a Starbucks nearby while the Hermosa Beach job is finished. The shop is LGBTQ-friendly and everyone from Hermosa Beach is welcome. The shop sits right off the 110 freeway, with easy access from the 405 and the 710 as well, so three freeways lead to it from Hermosa Beach.

How soon after delivery can a Tesla be tinted?
The same week, if you like. There is nothing on the glass that needs to settle, and the sooner the film goes on, the sooner the cabin stops heating up. Most Hermosa Beach owners book within a week or two of picking up the car.
Will the tint install leave marks on a brand-new interior?
No. The door panels and seats are covered before any water is used, and the film is cut and shaped on the outside of the glass, so the sharp work happens away from the interior. We do not drill, cut trim or disconnect anything to tint a Tesla.
What shades do Hermosa Beach owners usually pick on a new Tesla?
Legal shade on the fronts, which in California means the glass must pass 70% of visible light, and a darker shade on the rear doors and back glass. The factory roof glass is already dark, so the film goes on the sides and the rear glass. We hold samples against your glass outside so you decide by what you see.
Can I drive the new Tesla home right after and roll the windows down?
Drive it home, yes. Leave the windows up for a few days afterward so the film cures against the glass, and keep the rear defroster off during that time. After that, normal use, and ceramic film does not fade or bubble in the beach sun.
