Smaller, flatter panels and a quicker job, but the same hand-cut method and the same ceramic film. The Model Y hatch window is done as a single piece.
Model X and Cybertruck
The Model X carries the tallest side glass of any Tesla and the Cybertruck the flattest. Both are patterned per panel and priced by model.
No camera or signal interference
Camera zones are masked and left clear and the film has no metal layer, so the phone key, cellular and GPS signals pass through unaffected.

Temple City is about 22.7 miles away, roughly 45 to 55 minutes outside rush hour. Hours are Monday to Saturday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday closed. Make an appointment and plan to drop the Model S off for the day, or wait at the shop if you would rather not make two trips.

Is a Model S from Temple City worth the drive to Carson for tint?
Yes. The long curved doors on a Model S need film that is heat-formed to the glass, and that is routine here. Owners have driven from San Diego for Tesla tint at this shop; from Temple City it is under an hour outside rush hour.
Why is Model S tint quoted separately from a Model 3?
Because the glass is larger and more curved, so the panels take longer to shape and apply. A Model 3 is a quicker job. Each Tesla is quoted by model at the shop; text us with your year and model for a figure.
Does the rear glass on a Model S get tinted as one piece?
Yes. The rear window is covered with a single sheet of ceramic film that is shrunk to the curve on a glass board, then applied over the defroster lines. There is no seam and the lines are not damaged.
Will the film block my Tesla's phone key or cameras?
No. Ceramic film has no metal, so the phone key, cellular and GPS signals pass through. The camera zones on the windshield and the side repeaters are masked and stay clear, so Autopilot and Sentry Mode behave the same.
What should a Temple City owner do after the tint is applied?
Leave the windows up for several days so the film cures to the glass. Light haze or small water pockets in the first days are normal and clear on their own. Book an appointment before driving down so the bay is ready when you arrive.
