Camera positions are masked and left uncovered, and the non-metallic ceramic film does not weaken the phone key, GPS or cellular reception.

South El Monte questions we hear
Is the drive from South El Monte worth it for Model S tint?
Yes. Model S door glass is the most curved in the lineup, and film that has not been properly heat-formed to it will show fingers and lift at the edges. The drive is under an hour outside rush hour, and Tesla owners come to this shop from more than 100 miles away.
Why is the Model S quoted on its own?
The panels are longer and the curve deeper than on a Model 3, so each piece takes more time on the glass board before it can be applied. That labor is why every Tesla is quoted by model at the shop; text us with the year and model.
Is the Model S rear window tinted as a single piece?
Yes. The film is laid on the outside of the glass, heated until it shrinks to the curve, then moved inside and applied in one pass over the defroster lines. No seam, no overlap, and the lines are left intact.
Will the Model S cameras or phone key be affected?
No. The camera cluster at the top of the windshield and the side repeaters are masked and the film pattern stops short of them. Ceramic film has no metal layer, so the phone key, cellular and GPS signals are not weakened.
What should a South El Monte owner do after pickup?
Give the film several days with the windows up so it bonds to the glass. Slight haze or a few small water pockets early on are normal and disappear on their own. Book an appointment before driving down so the bay is ready.
