What Pico Rivera's new Tesla owners want
Heat rejection without metal
Ceramic film keeps the cabin cooler and leaves the phone key, card reader and app connection working as they did at pickup.
Cameras and sensors untouched
The film pattern stops clear of the windshield camera window and never touches the pillar lenses.
New-car extras
Dash camera installation and GPS tracker installation are the usual pairings; Audio MotorSports also does car alarm installation, speaker replacement and car stereo installation for the rest of the driveway.

Questions
Pico Rivera questions we hear
Does a brand-new Tesla need any prep before tint?
Only a careful cleaning, which is part of the job. New glass has no adhesive from a previous film and no scratches, so the ceramic bonds evenly. The sooner it goes on, the sooner the seats and dash are protected from direct sun. Many Pico Rivera owners book within the first week of delivery.
How far is the drive from Pico Rivera to the Carson shop?
About half an hour outside rush hour, and the car is in the bay for a few hours. Audio MotorSports regularly tints Teslas for people who drive in from well over 100 miles away, so a Pico Rivera trip is a short one for an install you only do once.
How soon can I roll the windows down after the tint?
Wait a few days. The film needs time to cure to the glass, and moving a window too early can catch the edge. Nick gives you the exact timing at pickup. A light haze or a few small water pockets in the first days are normal and clear on their own as the moisture evaporates.
Where does a new Model 3 or Model Y take the most heat?
Through the doors and the big rear window, since the factory roof glass is already dark. The shop films the side and rear glass with ceramic, which cuts the sun on the front seats and the back row. New-delivery owners tend to feel the change on the first hot day.
Can I add a dash camera while the car is in for tint?
Yes. Dash camera installation fits easily into the same appointment, with the power lead routed along the headliner and down the pillar so nothing hangs from the mirror. Audio MotorSports does it in the same bay. Mention it when you book and the time will be reserved.
