Doors, rear quarter glass and a big hatch window beneath a roof that is already dark from the factory. Ceramic film on all of it rejects infrared heat instead of soaking it up, so the cabin cools faster and the seats are not scorching after a few hours parked.
The hatch window is tall with a strong curve. The film is shrunk to that curve on a glass board and applied as one piece, with no seam in the rear camera's view and no lift along the defroster lines.
Four other patterns. The Model 3 is quicker, the S and X have more glass to shape, and the Cybertruck's flat panels are traced to the trim line. Each one has its own figure.
Camera zones are masked and uncovered, and the ceramic film has no metal, so the phone key, GPS and cellular signal are the same after tint as before.
Audio MotorSports also fits dash cameras and GPS trackers to Teslas and installs car stereos, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, car alarms, remote start and Harley bagger audio for other vehicles.
Santa Monica is about 18.4 miles from the shop, roughly 37 to 44 minutes outside rush hour. Open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday. Book ahead, then leave the Model Y for the day or wait at the shop and drive it home once the film is on.

For a hatch window done as one formed sheet and frameless door edges cut to the glass line, by a shop that tints Teslas every working day. At 18.4 miles it is well under an hour outside rush hour, and owners come from over 100 miles for the same job.
Mostly the hatch. It is taller and more curved than the Model 3 rear window, so the film needs more shaping on the glass board before it will lie flat as one piece. The quarter glass is a separate small panel as well.
By model, at the shop, because a Model Y is not the same job as a Model 3 or a Model X. Send the year and model by text and a figure comes back before you set out from Santa Monica.
