What is included in a full Model Y tint?
The one-piece rear hatch glass, the fixed rear quarter windows, the four door windows and the fronts at the legal shade. Each pane is patterned on its own so the coverage is complete and the shades match. The factory roof glass is already dark, so a partial job can be the rear and quarter glass alone.
Is Mar Vista to Carson a sensible trip for Model Y tint?
Yes. It is a little over half an hour, and the Y is in the bay for a few hours. Tesla Tint LA tints Teslas every week and sees owners from more than 100 miles away for the same ceramic install. The drive from Mar Vista is modest for a job you do once.
Does the rear glass tint make the Model Y cabin noticeably cooler?
Yes. The hatch and quarter windows take direct sun on the second row, and the doors catch the rest. Ceramic film shaped to that glass rejects much of the heat that would land on the seats, so the cabin cools faster and the climate system works less.
Will the hatch tint interfere with the rear camera or wiper?
No. The rear camera sits in the hatch body above the license plate, not in the glass, and the Model Y has no rear wiper to clear. The film covers only the glass and is kept away from the defroster connectors at the edges. Everything works as it did before.
Can I have a dash camera and GPS tracker fitted during the tint?
Yes. Both are common add-ons for Model Y owners, and Audio MotorSports installs them in the same bay with the wiring routed behind trim so nothing shows. Mention it when you book from Mar Vista and the appointment will be set up for all of it.
