Getting to Carson from Playa del Rey
The drive is about 13.3 miles and roughly 27 to 32 minutes outside rush hour. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 to 6:00; closed Sunday. Book a time, then wait at the shop or drop the Model 3 and pick it up later. Plenty of Playa del Rey drivers wait inside; there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi and a restroom, and if you want to stretch your legs a mall, coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Everyone is welcome; we are an LGBTQ-friendly shop. The shop sits right off the 110 freeway, with easy access from the 405 and the 710 as well, so three freeways lead to it from Playa del Rey.

Playa del Rey questions we hear
What makes Model 3 tint different from an ordinary sedan?
The rear window. On most sedans it is a modest, gently curved pane; on a Model 3 it is one wide, steep piece that curves toward the roof. The film has to be shrunk to that curve and laid as a single sheet. The other difference is the factory roof glass, which is already dark, so the filming stays on the sides and rear.
Is Playa del Rey too far to bother for Tesla tint?
Not close. It is half an hour, and the shop sees Tesla owners from more than 100 miles out for the same ceramic install. You book, you drive in, the film goes on in a few hours, and you drive home with glass that will not need redoing.
Will the tint show from the outside on a white Model 3?
The side and rear glass will look darker, which most owners want. What ceramic film does not do is turn the glass mirrored or give it a purple cast over time. The roof already reads black from the factory, so the side and rear film is what sets the look. Nick can show samples on the car.
Does the Model 3 rear glass tint go on from inside or outside?
Inside. The film is shaped on a separate surface, then carried in and applied to the inside of the one-piece rear glass with the trim left in place. Nothing is cut on the car and no exterior work is involved. The door glass is done the same way, from the inside.
Can I combine a dash camera install with my Model 3 tint?
Yes, and it is a common pairing. Audio MotorSports does dash camera installation with the wiring hidden along the headliner and pillar so nothing dangles from the mirror. Let us know when you book and the appointment will cover both jobs in one visit.
