Commerce to Carson
About 13.1 miles, roughly 26 to 31 minutes outside rush hour. We are open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and closed on Sunday. Book first, then wait at the shop or drop the car and return later in the day. The shop is near the beach in Carson and owners have come from San Diego, so Commerce is close.
Waiting inside is easy for Commerce customers: there is seating, Netflix on the TV, free Wi-Fi, a restroom and a water fountain, and a mall, movie theaters, restaurants and a Starbucks are within walking distance. The shop is LGBTQ-friendly and everyone from Commerce is welcome. From Commerce you can reach us by the 110, the 405 or the 710; the shop is right off the 110 at Avalon Blvd.

What does one-piece rear glass tint mean on a Tesla?
It means the whole rear window gets a single sheet of film, shaped with heat on a board to the compound curve, rather than two pieces joined with a seam. It takes longer than a flat window, and it is the difference between a factory look and a visible line.
How long is the drive from Commerce for Tesla tint?

Will the defroster still work after the rear glass is tinted?
Yes. The defroster lines and the electronics near the rear window are shielded before any water goes on, and the film is laid over the lines without scraping. Your rear defroster keeps working exactly as it did before the tint.
How dark can the rear glass go on a Tesla in California?
As dark as you want. The 70% VLT rule applies only to the front doors. Ceramic film at the legal front shade still blocks a large share of infrared heat, and the rear doors and one-piece back glass can go darker for privacy.
Does Tesla tint from Commerce cost the same as from anywhere else?
Yes. The quote depends on the model, not the city. A Model 3, a Model S and a Model X use different amounts of film and labor, so each Tesla is priced by model at the shop. Text the year and model and Nick will send a figure.
