Camera and sensor clearance
The film is trimmed so the cabin camera area, the pillar cameras and the sensor spots near the glass stay open. Nothing sits across a lens.

Ceramic film is non-metallic, so the phone key, key card, cell signal and GPS all keep working. It also holds back a good share of the heat that builds in a mostly glass cabin.
Every piece is shaped on a glass board and trimmed to the gasket, which means a tidy edge and no damage to your windows.
Because the roof panel comes dark from the factory, the shop films only the side and rear windows.
Dash camera installation, car stereo work, alarm installation and GPS tracker installation can all be scheduled in the same appointment.

Questions
Before any film goes on, the installer marks the camera, sensor and radar areas around the glass and trims the film away from them. Those spots stay open, so Autopilot, Sentry and the cabin camera see through bare glass, never through film.
Ceramic is the better fit. It stops more heat at the same shade and has no metal, so the phone key and cell signal behave normally. Regular dyed film costs less but fades sooner and does less against sun on a glass-heavy car.
It is roughly a 36 to 43 minute drive, which many owners spend on a commute anyway. People come from over 100 miles away for this work, so an appointment from Monterey Park is a short, simple trip.
The key card reader on the door pillar is a radio device, and ceramic film does not block it. The installer still keeps film clear of the pillar electronics, then tests the key card before the car goes back to you.
Expect a few hours for side and rear glass, less for front windows alone. You can wait with Wi-Fi and Netflix, or drop the car off and collect it that afternoon. Call or text first so the bay is ready when you arrive.
