What Culver City Teslas come in for
Non-metallic ceramic film
No metal layer, so the phone key, cell signal and sensors pass through unchanged, and more infrared heat is blocked per shade than with dyed film.
Model 3, Y, S, X and Cybertruck
Frameless doors cut to the gasket, one-piece rear glass heat-shaped, flat Cybertruck panels cut to size, and each model quoted on its own.
Legal front shade
Front doors stay at California 70% VLT and still feel cooler; rear doors and back glass can go darker.
The same shop does dash camera installation, GPS tracker installation, car alarm installation and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto installation, so a Culver City owner can bundle jobs in one trip.
Culver City to the shop
About 15.2 miles, 30 to 36 minutes outside rush hour. Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday. Schedule first, then drop the car for the day or wait at the shop. Owners drive in from over 100 miles away, so Culver City is well inside the usual range.
You can wait inside with free Wi-Fi, Netflix on the TV, seating, a restroom and a water fountain, or walk to the mall, a movie theater or a Starbucks nearby while the Culver City job is finished. The shop is LGBTQ-friendly and everyone from Culver City is welcome. Coming from Culver City, take whichever is moving: the shop is right off the 110 and easy from the 405 and the 710.

Questions
Culver City questions we hear
How are the Tesla cameras protected during tinting?
Each camera area on the glass is masked before any film is applied, so the film never crosses the lens zone. After the install we check the view through every camera window. The ceramic film has no metal, so the film around the cameras causes no interference either.
How far is Culver City from the Tesla tint shop?
About 15.2 miles, roughly 30 to 36 minutes outside rush hour, to 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. Book a morning slot and the car is finished the same day, whether you wait at the shop or drop it off.
Will tint affect Autopilot or the parking sensors?
No. The camera and sensor zones are left uncovered and the ceramic film is non-metallic, so nothing is blocked or distorted. Autopilot, the parking cameras and the phone key work the way they did before the car came in.
Do you tint the Cybertruck the same way as a Model 3?
The camera protection is the same; the glass is not. The Cybertruck has flat panels that skip heat-shaping but need the whole bay, while the Model 3 has curved frameless glass. Each is cut on a board to its own windows and quoted by model.
How do I get a Tesla tint quote from Culver City?
Text the year and model to the shop. Teslas are quoted by model because a Model 3, a Model X and a Cybertruck do not use the same film or labor. Nick replies with a figure and confirms it at the counter when the car arrives.
