New-delivery ceramic tint
A new Model 3 or Model Y comes with clear door and rear glass. Ceramic film on those windows cuts heat and glare from the first week of ownership, and a clean, untouched glass surface is the easiest to tint well.

Tint for a Tesla that just arrived in Vernon
Hand-cut on a glass board
The film for each window is cut and shaped on a separate board, then moved to the car. Nothing is cut against your new paint or interior trim, which is the point of taking a new car to a Tesla-focused shop.
One-piece rear window
The rear glass is tinted as a single, heat-formed sheet. On a new car that means a factory-looking result with no seam and no edge lifting over the defroster lines.
Cameras, sensors and the phone key
Every camera zone is masked and left clear, and the film has no metal in it, so a brand-new Tesla keeps its full Autopilot and connectivity behavior.
Model S, Model X and Cybertruck
Larger glass and, on the Cybertruck, flat panels with sharp corners. Each gets its own pattern and is quoted by model.
While the car is in, Audio MotorSports can also add a dash camera installation or GPS tracker installation, and does car alarm, remote start, car stereo and CarPlay work for other vehicles in the household.

Questions
Vernon questions we hear
Should I tint my new Tesla right after delivery in Vernon?
It is a good time to do it. The glass is clean, there is no old film to strip, and you get the heat and glare reduction from day one. Book an appointment, drive the 12.1 miles from Vernon, and the doors and rear glass can be done in the same visit.
Does tinting a new Tesla risk the paint or interior?
Not when the film is cut on a glass board away from the car. Each panel is shaped on the board and then applied to the window, so no blade touches the paint, the door panel or the headliner. The electronics behind the rear glass are covered before the install begins.
How much does Tesla tint cost for a Vernon driver?
It depends on the model, so the quote is given by model at the shop. A Model Y and a Model X do not have the same amount of glass or the same labor. Text us with the year and model and you will get a number back.
Will tint change anything about the cameras on a new Tesla?
No. The camera areas on the windshield and the side repeaters are masked and the film stops short of them. Ceramic film has no metal layer, so the phone key, cellular and GPS signals are not affected. The car behaves exactly as it did at delivery.
Which Tesla models get tinted at the Carson shop?
All five current ones: Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and the Cybertruck. The Model 3 and Model Y are the most common new deliveries from Vernon; the Cybertruck's flat glass panels use their own pattern. Every model is priced separately when you book.
