About 10 miles, roughly 20 to 24 minutes outside rush hour. We are open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and closed Sunday. Make the appointment first; then wait at the shop or drop the X and come back when it is finished. Owners come from over 100 miles away for this, so Cudahy is a short one.

How long does a Model X take to tint?
More time than any other Tesla. The X has the most glass, the falcon doors mean the upper windows are reached differently, and the rear piece takes careful shaping. We book the X with extra bay time and quote it by model so the price reflects the work.
How far is Cudahy from the Tesla tint shop?
About 10 miles, 20 to 24 minutes outside rush hour, to 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. Book a morning slot and the Model X is usually ready the same afternoon.
Can I tint the Model X front windows legally?
Yes, at California 70% VLT. Film at that shade is ceramic, and it still turns away a good share of infrared heat, which matters on a car with this much glass. Passenger windows behind the front doors can go darker.
Will tint interfere with the Model X cameras or phone key?
No. The camera zones on the glass are masked and left uncovered, and ceramic film has no metal layer, so the cameras, sensors and phone key work exactly as they did before. We look through each camera area before the car leaves.
How is a Model X quoted for a Cudahy owner?
By model, at the shop. The X uses more film and more hours than a Model 3, so a single list price would be wrong. Text the year and model, and Nick sends a figure that is confirmed at the counter when the car comes in.
