Shorter, flatter glass than the Y but the same frameless edge, cut to the gasket by hand.
Longer doors on the S and taller glass on the X, so more board time and more film. Quoted by model.
Masked before the film goes on, left uncovered, checked before the car leaves. The ceramic film has no metal.
The same Carson shop installs dash cameras, GPS trackers, car alarms with remote start and car stereos, so a Covina owner making the trip can book more than one job.
About 34.8 miles, roughly 70 to 84 minutes outside rush hour. We are open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, and closed Sunday. Book ahead, then drop the Y for the day or wait at the shop. Owners drive in from Temecula and San Diego, so Covina is a normal distance.
Plenty of Covina drivers wait inside; there is seating, a TV with Netflix, free Wi-Fi and a restroom, and if you want to stretch your legs a mall, coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. Everyone is welcome; we are an LGBTQ-friendly shop. Three freeways lead here: we are right off the 110, and the 405 and 710 drop you close by, whichever way Covina traffic sends you.
The Model Y and every Tesla are quoted by model at the shop; text the year and model to get the number. The four doors and the rear glass. They block most of the heat you feel, and the rear piece is shaped on a board so it lies flat. Some owners split the job over two visits. Tell Nick when you book so the time is set aside.
California sets 70% VLT on the front doors. Ceramic film at that shade keeps cutting a large share of infrared heat, so the front seats stay comfortable without a dark look. Everything behind them can go darker if you prefer.
Yes. Each camera zone on the glass is masked and left clear, and the ceramic film contains no metal, so nothing interferes with the cameras or the phone key. We look through every camera area before the car leaves.
