What City of Industry Teslas come in for

Cybertruck window tint

Flat glass sounds easy, but the panels are large and the truck is wide, so the bay is cleared for it. Film is cut on a board to the real glass, and the Cybertruck is quoted on its own line.

Model Y and Model 3

The everyday Teslas. Frameless doors with the edge cut to the gasket, one-piece rear glass shaped with heat, ceramic film with no metal in it.

Model S and Model X

Long curved doors on the S, tall glass on the X. Both take more shaping and are priced by model so the number matches the work.

Sensors and cameras

Masked and left uncovered on every Tesla, Cybertruck included. The film is non-metallic, so there is no signal interference.

Audio MotorSports also handles car alarm installation, remote start installation, GPS tracker installation and car stereo installation, so a City of Industry owner can combine jobs in one visit.

For a longer job from City of Industry, some people walk to the mall, the movie theaters or a coffee shop nearby; the DoubleTree down the street has a full bar, and Cabrillo Beach is about 12 minutes away. City of Industry customers of every background are welcome, and the shop is LGBTQ-friendly. Coming from City of Industry, take whichever is moving: the shop is right off the 110 and easy from the 405 and the 710.

    Questions

City of Industry questions we hear

Is the Cybertruck easier to tint because the glass is flat?

Flat glass skips the heat-shaping step, but the panels are large and the truck takes up the whole bay. The film is still cut on a board to the actual glass and the edges are still set to the gasket. It is a different job from a Model 3, and it is quoted that way.

How far is City of Industry from the Tesla tint shop?

About 27.2 miles, 54 to 65 minutes outside rush hour, to 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. Owners make the drive from much farther than that. Book ahead, come in the morning, and the truck is done the same day.

Can a Cybertruck be tinted legally on the front doors?

Yes. The front glass stays at California 70% VLT, and ceramic film at that shade still blocks a large share of infrared heat. The rear doors and back glass can be darker. The result is a cooler cab with no inspection concern.

Does the film interfere with Cybertruck cameras or the phone key?

No. Camera zones are masked and left clear, and the ceramic film contains no metal, so nothing is blocked. Cameras, sensors and the phone key keep working as they did before the tint went on.

Why drive to Carson instead of a closer tint shop?

Because the film is hand-cut to the glass rather than a plotter pattern trimmed short, the cameras are protected every time, and the quote is by model with nothing hidden. Done once, done right, and it stays on the truck for years.
