Getting here from Cerritos
The trip is about 11.7 miles, around 23 to 28 minutes outside rush hour. We are open Monday through Saturday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, closed Sunday. Make the appointment first, then drop the Y for the day or wait at the shop.
Wait inside (seating, Netflix, free Wi-Fi, restroom, water fountain) or take a walk: restaurants, coffee shops, a Starbucks, a mall and movie theaters are all within walking distance, which Cerritos customers tell us makes the drop-off painless. What does a Model Y tint include?
Typically the four door windows and the one-piece rear glass, hand-cut on a board and shaped with heat where the glass curves. The factory roof glass is left as it came. Camera zones are masked and left clear, and the ceramic film has no metal in it.
How long does the drive from Cerritos take?
About 11.7 miles, roughly 23 to 28 minutes outside rush hour, to 22025 S Avalon Blvd Ste A in Carson. Most Cerritos owners book a morning slot and have the car back by early afternoon.
Can a Model Y keep the front windows legal and still stay cool?
Yes. The fronts stay at California 70% VLT and ceramic film at that shade still rejects a large share of infrared heat. The rear doors and back glass can go darker, which is where most families want the shade anyway.
Is a Cerritos Tesla quoted differently from other cities?
No. The quote depends on the model, not where you drive from. A Model Y, a Model X and a Cybertruck use different amounts of film and labor, so each is priced by model at the shop. Text the year and model and Nick will quote it.
Does tinting a Tesla risk the cameras or the key?
Not here. Camera areas are masked before the film goes on and left uncovered, and the ceramic film is non-metallic, so the phone key and every sensor work as they did. We check the camera views before the car leaves the bay.
