One-piece rear glass
The Model 3 and Model Y back window is a single large curved panel. It is tinted in one piece, shaped with heat on a board, so there is no seam and no light gap at the edges.
Model S and Model X
Longer and taller glass, respectively. Each is cut to its own pattern; a photo is not enough, so bring the car and let us measure it.
Cybertruck
Large flat panels with sharp corners. Quoted by model like the rest, and done in the same bay.

From San Pedro to the bay
Figure 6.5 miles and roughly a 13 to 16 minute drive outside rush hour. Hours are Monday through Saturday 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with Sunday closed. Set up an appointment by phone or text, then leave the car with us or wait at the shop while it is tinted. People come from over 100 miles for this work; San Pedro is a short run.
Waiting inside is easy for San Pedro customers: there is seating, Netflix on the TV, free Wi-Fi, a restroom and a water fountain, and a mall, movie theaters, restaurants and a Starbucks are within walking distance. The shop is LGBTQ-friendly and everyone from San Pedro is welcome. Three freeways lead here: we are right off the 110, and the 405 and 710 drop you close by, whichever way San Pedro traffic sends you. A lot of our San Pedro customers are ILWU longshore workers and refinery and rail-yard crews who come in before or after a shift.

San Pedro questions we hear
Is Tesla tint from a Carson shop worth the drive up from San Pedro?
For a Tesla, yes. The glass is curved, the rear window has electronics close by, and the cameras cannot be covered. A shop that handles Teslas constantly, about 13 to 16 minutes from San Pedro, gets all of that right the first time.
How much does ceramic tint actually help with Tesla cabin heat?
A lot, but be clear about what it covers. The glass roof itself is already tinted from the factory; the side and rear glass are not. Ceramic film on those panels rejects a large share of infrared heat, so the cabin stays cooler and the air conditioning works less.
Can you tint the one-piece rear glass on a Model Y without a seam?
Yes. The rear glass is tinted as one panel. The film is heat-shrunk to the curve on a glass board, then applied in a single piece with the edge set to the gasket. No seams, no overlapping strips, no bright line at the bottom.
Will the tint cause any issue with my Tesla's phone key or cameras?
No. Ceramic film is non-metallic, so there is no signal interference with the key, cameras or antennas. Camera windows on the glass stay uncovered, and the rear-window electronics are protected before the film goes near them.
