Driving in from Rossmoor
Rossmoor to Carson is roughly 11 miles, about 22 to 26 minutes when the freeways are moving. Open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 to 6:00; Sunday closed. Do you tint Cybertrucks, and is the process different?
Yes. The Cybertruck's glass is flat with hard angles, so the film is cut to a tight pattern rather than heat-formed over a curve. The tall rear window takes the most film. It is tinted in the same Carson bay as every other Tesla and quoted by model at the shop.
How long is the trip from Rossmoor to the shop?
Roughly 11 miles, which is 22 to 26 minutes outside rush hour. Owners from Rossmoor usually arrive for a morning appointment and are back home before the end of the day. People drive from Temecula and farther for this work, so the Rossmoor run is short by comparison.
Does ceramic tint create any problem with Tesla sensors?
No. Ceramic film is non-metallic, so the car's radios, phone key and cellular connection are unaffected. The camera lenses in the windshield, pillars and side repeaters are left completely clear. The tint is kept off every sensor window on purpose.
Which Tesla window film is best for heat in a Cybertruck?
Ceramic. The truck carries a lot of glass and it sits high in the sun, so a ceramic film on the sides and rear glass makes the cabin noticeably more bearable after it has been parked. Nick can show the difference on a sample before you decide.
Can I wait at the shop while the Tesla tint is installed?
Yes. Many Rossmoor owners wait at the shop; a full Tesla tint takes a few hours depending on model and coverage. If you would rather not wait, drop the car in the morning and collect it later. Either way, book first so the bay is reserved for your car.
